The League of Women Voters of Tacoma-Pierce County, in collaboration with NAACP, AAUW, RAD (Restoring the American Dream) and Bates Technical College sponsored a workshop on October 20-21, 2017. This workshop included nearly 40 participants representing a broad range of interests related to homelessness: service providers, homeless individuals, police, community representatives and others.
Facilitator Larry Seaquist's innovative strategic planning process was much admired.
A summary of the report-out from this workshop is here.
Later, a full report will be available at this site.

Participants spent a day and a half in this process. Although they gave up a lot of personal time, most seemed to enjoy the conversation and were pleased with the outcome.
Participants presented their process and recommendations to elected officials from Fife, University Place, Puyallup and Pierce County at the end.
Students from Lincoln High School joined the CoLab on the first night.
